Summary:

We have an excellent opportunity for an entry-level individual to join our Account Services team in the position of Assistant Account Executive (AAE). The individual will assist with the coordination, executive and communication of advertising activities for the Western Region and Cadillac Local Marketing Associations (LMAs).

Responsibilities:

  • Following-through on details of activities with internal departments in Detroit, Birmingham, and New York, such as account service, creative, legal, traffic and production, media planning, media buying and external events/sponsorship
  • Reconciling LMA invoice billing
  • Managing the compilation of LMA client presentations and distributions
  • Attending status meetings and producing status reports
  • Maintaining LMA contact information and mailings
  • Building and maintaining professional relationships with clients and coworkers
  • Assisting with special projects as needed

The ideal candidate will possess the following

  • Some previous exposure to agency account management through coursework or an internship -- preferred but not required
  • Exceptional listening, verbal and written communication skills
  • An adaptive personality
  • Solid project management capabilities
  • Proven relationship-building skills
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly within Excel and PowerPoint
  • An undergraduate degree with an accredited institution

MEDIA ASSISTANT

Summary:

We have an excellent opportunity for someone to be involved in many aspects of the fast-paced world of buying media and will afford the individual the chance to learn and grow in a dynamic and ever-changing environment.   

Responsibilities:

  • Assist Media Buyers in the execution of spot TV, cable, radio and print buys
  • Assist Retail Media Buyers in confirming schedules, invoices and added value
  • Confirm and assist in the stewardship of live media buys
  • Coordinate, research, and negotiate makegoods and invoice discrepancies
  • Assist in analyzing local market research data from Nielsen, SQAD, SRDS, and Strata.
  • Maintain knowledge of clients’ business (products, target audience, sales trends)
  • Provide pertinent media reports to regional account team for client distribution

Education:

Minimum of a four-year degree preferably in marketing, advertising or related field

Experience:

Six months to one-year experience in an advertising or media environment is ideal, but not required. Prefer someone with a working knowledge of media concepts, terminology, media math and media plans through education and/or experience.

Required Skills:

Must have ability to work independently in a rapidly changing, tactical role.  Good organizational skills and detailed-orientation with strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Demonstrated competency in mathematical skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and produce timely deliverables.

We have an opportunity for an entry-level individual to join our team in the position of Account Coordinator. Working with our South Central Regional office, this person will be responsible for data entry and heavy reporting.  The Account Coordinator is an important member of the team and will be supporting the Account Executives, Account Supervisors, and Regional Director in the coordination, execution and communication of advertising activities for the South Central Region and Cadillac Local Marketing Associations (LMAs).

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with building Local Marketing Association (LMA) PowerPoint decks
  • Produce and maintain monthly regional and national reports
  • Coordinate digital traffic/deployment as well as broadcast/print traffic and metrics
  • Coordinate creative requests
  • Maintain media flowcharts
  • Create original social media (FB & Twitter) content and post/monitor monthly
  • Write web articles and e-newsletters monthly
  • Maintain LMA websites
  • Responsible for office administrative duties, e.g. order supplies, submit expense reports, update calendar, etc.

Education:

Bachelors degree in marketing, advertising, management or related field.

Experience:

An internship and/or up to 1 year of experience in an advertising environment is ideal, but not required.

The Buick/GMC Assistant Account Executive will help to coordinate the planning and development of advertising activities for Southeast Region BG Local Marketing Associations (LMAs).

 

Responsibilities:

  • Act as market expert for assigned Southeast Region LMAs
  • Produce detailed, high-level reports displaying a thorough and nuanced understanding of industry data and trends
  • Interact with Integration Specialists, Martin Retail Group account management, creative and other service departments
  • Assist assigned field Account Supervisors with the preparation and follow up for LMA meetings (Top 10 Markets)
  • Manage and maintain, in conjunction with Assistant Account Executive, up to date accurate information on specific reports to include: State of the Region, and Media Summary
  • Facilitate client/agency communication regarding day to day implementation
  • Provide support on BG Regional business as needed

 

Education:4-year degree in advertising, marketing, or relevant field

 

Experience:

  • 1-2 years agency experience
  • Advanced MS Office skills, specifically in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Must have working knowledge of creative brief writing process and media planning discipline

 

Skills:

  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written, and presentation skills
  • Analytical ability
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Good interpersonal skills; must have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
