ASSISTANT ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE (SERBG)

We have an excellent opportunity for an entry-level individual to join our Account Services team in the position of Assistant Account Executive (AAE). The individual will assist with the coordination, executive and communication of advertising activities for the Southeast Region.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Support Regional Director (RD) and Account Supervisors (AS) in the management of Buick/GMC Local Marketing Associations (LMA) in the Southeast Region (SER)
  • Support Account Executive on all SER reports
  • Review sales and share data to build LMA presentations
  • Assist with planning enthusiastic, pertinent and persuasive presentations for LMA meetings
  • Assist with development of plans that are clearly driven by LMA goals and objectives
  • Assist with the collection of meeting communication from the LMA dealers for the creative teams
  • Ensure timely delivery of RD & AS projects while helping to manage workload
  • Manage LMA contact information and mailings
  • Monitor creative usage and media reports
  • Coordinate all monthly sales events tagging with traffic department and Account Supervisors
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with Buick/GMC Southeast Region and Zone GM clients, Buick/GMC LMA dealers and the Martin Retail Group corporate service office
  • Direct report to Regional Director and the Lead Account Supervisor in the Atlanta Regional Office

 

Qualifications:

Education: 4‐year college degree ‐ Advertising/Marketing degree preferred

Experience: Some Account Service experience preferred

 

Skills:

Very proficient computer skills including Excel and PowerPoint. Resource and people management skills. Self-starter. Automotive retail (Tier 2) experience a plus but is not a requirement.

The Buick GMC Assistant Account Executive will be a highly dependable team player willing to assist all team members in their day-to-day responsibilities and exceed client expectations. This is an entry-level position designed to take on more responsibility over time and encourage career growth within Martin Retail Group.

 

Responsibilities:

The Assistant Account Executive will have many responsibilities and must be willing to adapt to the ever changing client needs and demands. These responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

  • Manage and be responsible for several internal documents:
    • Client Contact Lists
    • Meeting Calendar
    • Client distribution lists
    • Creative Requests
    • Traffic Instructions
  • Update competitive incentive and product grids for major markets; researching key competitive products by market and outlining details on incentives and product changes
  • Competitive share of voice and market share updates by markets
  • Assist all team members as they complete their day-to-day responsibilities
  • Constantly on the lookout for new opportunities to help LMA dealers and NER clients sell more vehicles

 

Skills:

  • Proactive problem solving skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • The ability to work within a small team environment
  • Must be very detail oriented
  • Strong computer skills. In particular, must have competent knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel and Word

We are currently in the market for an Account Executive to join our Danbury, CT team. The position will work to support the communication and marketing needs of our clients and Martin Retail field organization.

 

Responsibilities:

Daily position responsibilities will include:

  • Gathering, organizing, and analyzing key data-- synthesizing for communication purposes
  • Writing and building clear, persuasive PowerPoint presentations and other client communication materials for a variety of audiences
  • Updating and maintaining high level summary reports, spreadsheets, and other tracking documents
  • Coordinating creative requests for Broadcast, Digital, Print, Outdoor, and other mediums
  • Ensuring proper trafficking of above mentioned creative assets
  • Executing and maintaining social media campaigns for Local Marketing Associations
  • Fostering and maintaining strong client and team relationships
  • Attending and participating, as needed, in client meetings

 

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • 3+ years agency account management experience; some on automotive retail preferred
