Summary:

We are currently seeking an Assistant Account Executive (AAE) to join our Account Services group.   The individual will work closely with our Field Integration and Regional Field teams to coordinate all elements of broadcast, print and digital advertising for our clients as well as assist with communication efforts and various internal business management functions.  Additionally, the AAE will be called on to provide region-specific information to meet national reporting requests. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as liaison between the regional field team and all departments of the Birmingham service center office, e.g., broadcast, print, and accounting departments
  • Coordinate regional communications and dealer database management
  • Facilitate print projects and scheduling
  • Open and assign a large volume of project numbers to open new production needs
  • Generate cost estimates for various projects and assist with working them through the online approval system
  • Respond to national information requests, such as calculating budget amount used, amount remaining, etc.

 

Education: Bachelors in degree in marketing, advertising, management or related field.

 

Experience:  An internship and/or up to 1 year of experience in an advertising environment is ideal, but not required.  

 

Skills Required: 

  • Superior written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Working knowledge of MS Office products (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and database management
  • General proficiency in math is preferred

Responsibilities:

The Assistant Account Executive will have many responsibilities and must be willing to adapt to the ever changing client needs and demands. These responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

  • Manage and be responsible for several internal documents:
    • Client Contact Lists
    • Meeting Calendar
    • Client distribution lists
    • Creative Requests
    • Traffic Instructions
  • Update competitive incentive and product grids for major markets; researching key competitive products by market and outlining details on incentives and product changes
  • Competitive share of voice and market share updates by markets
  • Assist all team members as they complete their day-to-day responsibilities
  • Constantly on the lookout for new opportunities to help Local Marketing Association dealers and NER clients sell more vehicles

The Assistant Account Executive (AAE) position involves supporting the Account Executives, Account Supervisors, and Regional Director in the coordination, execution and communication of advertising activities for the South Central Region and Cadillac Local Marketing Associations (LMAs).

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with building Local Marketing Association (LMA) decks
  • Produce and maintain monthly regional and national reports
  • Coordinate digital traffic/deployment as well as broadcast/print traffic and metrics
  • Coordinate creative requests
  • Maintain media flowcharts
  • Create original social media (FB & Twitter) content and post/monitor monthly
  • Write web articles and e-newsletters monthly
  • Maintain LMA websites
  • Responsible for office administrative duties, e.g. order supplies, submit expense reports, update calendar, etc.

 

Education:

We are currently in the market for an Executive Assistant to join our New York, NY team. The position will work to support the communication and marketing needs of our clients and Martin Retail field organization. Daily position responsibilities will include:

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in developing necessary strategic and tactical plans to ensure client/agency goal achievement
  • Gathering, organizing and analyzing key data-- synthesizing for communication purposes
  • Writing and building clear, persuasive PowerPoint presentations and other client, communication materials for a variety of audiences.
  • Updating and maintaining status reports, spreadsheets and other tracking documents
  • Fostering and maintaining strong client and team relationships
  • Attending and participating, as needed, in client meetings

 

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • 3 years+ agency account management experience; some on automotive retail preferred
  • Strategic mindset and analytical thinker
  • Exceptional listening, verbal and written communication skills
  • A self-starter that works independently
  • Solid project management capabilities
  • Proven relationship-building skills

MEDIA ASSISTANT

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Retail Media Buyers in completing media assignments
  • Assist as needed in the execution of spot TV, cable and radio buys
  • Compile and interpret research
  • Confirm accuracy of all contracts and request revisions when necessary
  • Coordinate and seek approval for all contract changes, makegoods and invoice discrepancies
  • Timely procession of makegoods to discourage future discrepancies
  • Analyze Nielsen and Arbitron ratings data
  • Assist Retail Media Buyers in calling for contracts, invoices and added value
  • Maintain knowledge of clients’ business (products, target audience, sales trends)
  • Provide pertinent media reports to Retail Media Buyers and regional account team for client distribution

 

Education:

Minimum of a four-year degree preferably in marketing, advertising or related field

 

Experience:

Six months to one-year experience in an advertising or media environment is ideal, but not required. Prefer someone with a working knowledge of media concepts, terminology, media math and media plans through education and/or experience.

 

Required Skills:

Must have ability to work independently in a rapidly changing, tactical role.  Good organizational skills and detailed-orientation with strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Demonstrated competency in mathematical skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and produce timely deliverables.

MEDIA PLANNING ASSISTANT

Description

Provides support to a team of Media Planners across all aspects of the group's functions. Will utilize research tools to gather data to develop media recommendations and presentations, collaborate among the team to offer appropriate support for planning assignments and special projects, and assist in the maintenance of media plans and reports.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Access syndicated research tools such as Scarborough, Nielsen, and SQAD to pull demographic data and consumer profiles to help identify specific media vehicles and strategies to best reach a target audience
  • Assist in maintaining flowcharts/plans
  • Assist in maintaining budget updates and spreadsheets
  • Prepare Excel reports and assist with analyzing media planning data
  • Work closely with Planners to help prepare/edit PowerPoint presentations and other details presented to field clients

          

Qualifications:

  • Four-year degree in the area of Advertising or a similar discipline
  • A minimum of 1-2 years in an agency media planning department
  • Excellent working knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Solid math skills
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Works well in a group rather than individual setting
  • Extremely high work ethic
